1. What is Joyce Van Lines payment terms?

A $100.00 deposit will secure your moving date(s). The balance is due upon our arrival at your new home in certified check, cash or money order. For your convenience, Joyce Van Lines, Inc. accepts all major credit cards in lieu of certified check or cash. Pre-payment of the estimated costs will be charged one to five days prior to your loading date. Once final charges have been calculated, your credit card will be adjusted

2. Are there any items which I am not permitted to ship?

For everyone’s protection, it is important to know the items that are too dangerous to carry due to the potential of fire or explosion. Some of these items include: aerosol cans, explosives, flammable items, hazardous chemicals, matches, open liquids, paint, perishables, pressurized cans, thinners, turpentine and bleach. Industry tariff and Cargo Protection Plans explicitly state that jewelry, cash, stamps, and coins are not covered, therefore, we recommend that you carry your valuables. Joyce Van Lines is happy to carry these items for you once a Valuables Declaration is completed and signed.

3. Can I ship my firearms?

Joyce Van Lines, Inc. requires a Special Firearms Inventory Control form be completed prior to transportation. Any firearms transported must be:

  • Unloaded and disarmed by customers
  • Inventoried by you before the driver arrives
  • Consolidated into a safe area, packed by the driver only and loaded in a designated area in our van

The firearm package will be unpacked in your presence at the destination and you will be asked to authorize a sign off on the Special Firearms Inventory Control Form. Please contact your move coordinator if you have any questions regarding this form or procedure.

 4. Do you ever sub-contract your moves to another carrier?

Joyce Van Line hauls 100% of our moves. We do NOT interline our business to other agents or carriers. We are 100% committed to provide the highest quality of service to exceed your expectations. Guaranteed.
